Renovation In Allentown, PA: We loved renovating this beauty in Allentown, Pa. This neighborhood features unique homes with interesting architectural styles and this one was no different. We added some farmhouse touches to this classic colonial.
Exterior
For the exterior we freshened it up with paint, boxed out beams, and a beautiful farmhouse style front door.
Living and Dining Room
The living and dining rooms already had oak hardwood floors in decent shape but they needed to be refreshed so we refinished them and added a few coats of Poly to bring out their natural beauty.
Kitchen
The dated kitchen was just screaming to be redone. It had a layout that really cut off the space and we knew we could make it more functional. We opened it up and created a large center island for gathering, extended cabinetry to the ceiling and added much needed pantries. The carpet was stripped out and new hardwoods were incorporated throughout to help finish off this space.
Family Room
The family room was very dark so we brightened it up and continued the hardwoods into the space. The brick fireplace serves as the perfect focal point to center furniture around and relax.
Mudroom
Prior this room had been the laundry room but the previous owner had moved the laundry upstairs which left this space which really didn’t have a function. We converted it into this functional mudroom with Italian tiles and a large shiplap bench.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms already featured a rustic tile but had dated vanities. We replaced the vanities to match the tile and added new accessories to really make these rooms shine.
This whole house renovation in Allentown, PA was a lot of fun and we think turned out great!
